Turimetta Beach, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, is photographed so much these days it’s often difficult to come up with a unique or new overall view of this beautiful beach. The rock formations at either end of the beach certainly help though. This photograph is something I like to consider a “macro seascape” – a very small part of a much larger seascape or landscape. While it’s not immediately apparent it was shot at Turimetta, the generic scene has great appeal on its own.  The constantly evolving sand deposits transform the rocky landscape at Turimetta and up-close allow far more freedom and creativity which is a great compliment to the overall beach scene.
