Sydney Opera House: Flickr Stats and Tagging

Since Flickr introduced stats on links and “click-throughs” to images it’s been interesting to note that over a quarter of the views of my Flickr gallery have come from external sources outside of Flickr, particularly search engines such as google and yahoo. This highlights the importance of tagging your images so they can be found in a search and explains why certain images continue to gain views.
For example, if you do a yahoo image search for ‘Sydney’, this image comes up on the first page. About half of the views for this image come through search engines alone so tagging them appropriately will get them seen more often.

haha, ture the searching engine lead me here, and I am so greatful of seeing such beautiful work of yours. (I tried countless shots on opera house but just can’t get things right) good job mate.
