While the track will remain open to racing for the next year before housing developers take over, Oran Park recently hosted its last ever round of Australia’s V8 Supercars.

Oran Park would have to be one of the most photographer friendly race tracks with great vantage points all round the track and I have now uploaded photographs from the weekend’s racing action. Apart from the V8 Supercars, support races included historic, Group A and Group C touring cars, Mini Challenge, Aussie Racing Cars, Formula Ford and the V8 Utes.

Oran Park’s final V8 race was also a farewell to driver Mark Skaife from the Toll Holden Team (below) who has now retired, while Team Vodafone’s Jamie Whincup picked up his first championship series win.
